At Coalesce we believe that people do not need to be data experts to find, understand and use data. We’ve developed a Data Catalog product that is plug-and-play, easy, and collaborative. It automates painful data governance tasks to create a centralized knowledge hub that empowers teams to easily discover, interpret, and leverage their organization's information assets.

The product was created in 2020 as an independent company, CastorDoc, by four data lovers who experienced firsthand the pain of dealing with data. The Catalog product is already running in leading data teams at Veolia, RentTheRunway, ManoMano, Vestiaire Collective, Freeport McMoran or Payfit. CastorDoc was acquired by Coalesce.io in February 2025, the two teams have joined forced to build the best data management platform on the market.

The Coalesce overall team of 120 people is made of experts in their domains, sharing a common bold vision to impact companies through data. To support it, we raised a total of 100M$.

👨‍💻 About the role 👩‍💻

We are looking for a Senior Devops Engineer to join our growing Infrastructure team. The role is focused on then catalog but the team is global and handles all Coalesce products.

You will take part in building the heart of our new data catalog platform :

• Automate context creation through powerful SQL parser
• Build and improve connectors/extractors to tools from the data stack (data warehouse, data visualization, data quality tools, etc.)
• Build and improve the data lineage engine
• Design DevOps architecture to deploy Castor in a scalable way

Our stack runs on Python, PostgresSQL, Airflow, React, Node.js, and Docker.

As a Software Data Engineer, you will join a team of talented, and passionate engineers. We move fast, with a lot of ownership, and are proud to tackle exciting problems.
