Castor is a metadata management platform that helps companies leverage data at scale. We help people find, understand and use data, regardless of their skillset. Our product is plug-and-play, automated, and collaborative. It makes the painful documentation task, feel like a breeze.

Created in 2020, by four data lovers who experienced firsthand the pain of exploring data, Castor is already running in leading unicorns such as Canva, Deliveroo, BackMarket, Gorgias, Stuart, ManoMano, Vestiaire Collective, or Sendinblue.

We have a bold vision to improve our product. To support it, we raised a 2.5m€ Seed round from Frst and accomplished Business Angels (founders of Dataiku, Zenly, Vestiaire Collective, etc).

👨‍💻 About the role 👩‍💻

We are looking for our Growth Engineer. Working hand in hand with the Head of Marketing, you will own pipeline generation. The purpose of this role is to build the foundations for future growth: deploy scalable revenue streams and growth opportunities.

  • Conversion at each step of the marketing funnel

This role is sitting at the intersection of Tech & Marketing. On one hand, you will need a deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to code in Python/SQL. On the other hand, you will have a tremendous impact on business & marketing while having the ability to iterate on marketing messages.

What you’ll do?

  • [Tech] Map customer ecosystem: build, enrich and maintain potential customer databases thanks to python coding, and the use of SaaS Growth tools. These data points will help us map and segment our ecosystem to draft concrete/actionable marketing messages.
  • [Marketing] Drive demand: Coordinate outreach (emails, LinkedIn, ads) and automation campaigns to drive demo/webinar sign-ups and trials.
  • [Tech & Marketing] Optimize output: investigate every step of the marketing funnel to get more leads with the same input. Dig into both technical (spam score, email delivery, etc) and marketing (call-to-action, messaging, segmentation) components to improve business outcomes.
  • [Marketing] Nurture Leads: develop target account lists and own lead segmentation. Build and scale email nurture / re-engage programs in Hubspot to drive responses and push qualified leads further down the funnel for conversion.

We are looking for you because you have:

  • A technical marketing background. Ability to code in Python/SQL and an understand of key marketing metrics.
  • You are results-driven. Should you give free AirPods & Nachos to all leads attending the Snowflake Summit? Yes. If it drives demand and ROI is positive, it’s on the table.
  • You are collaborative. You’ll partner with growth, ABM, content, events, sales, BD, and ops to transform strategies into results. You’ll educate the broader organization on what works and most importantly, why it works.
  • You are able to prioritize ruthlessly. You possess the ability to work on multiple projects while focusing the right level of effort on each.
  • Excellent written English including good spelling and grammar in addition to outstanding proof-reading skills
  • Excellent communication skills and strategic thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous start-up environment
  • Experience meeting multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
